Overseas Chinese in the Evolving International Landscape: Reality, Opportunities, Challenges, and Future

2026 Regional Conference of the International Society for the Studies of Chinese Overseas(ISSCO)

In light of the significant shifts occurring within the international landscape, the status, opportunities, challenges, and future trajectory of overseas Chinese--who serve as a vital bridge between China and the global community--have emerged as pressing subjects of scholarly inquiry. In an effort to foster deeper academic exchange and collaborative research among scholars from both domestic and international institutions,Wenzhou University is honored to host the 2026 Regional Conference of the International Society for the Studies of Chinese Overseas (ISSCO), with the theme of "Overseas Chinese in the Evolving International Landscape: Reality, Opportunities, Challenges, and Future". We now invite submissions of papers from experts, scholars, educators, and students both at home and abroad. Meanwhile we extend a sincere invitation to global academic colleagues to attend this conference, where engaging discussions on innovative academic issues and collaborative developmental pathways will take place.
